Summer Cheer Camp
Attention all cheerleaders and future cheerleaders!! The PCHS Dragon Cheerleaders are coming to the Pekin Park District to share routines, cheers, chants and the fundamentals of cheerleading with you. PCHS Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders are anxious to share their knowledge and experience of the Universal Cheerleading Association camp with you! Awards will be distributed to all participants. All cheer camp participants will have the honor of performing at the annual red and white game in the fall. A cheer camp demonstration will be held to show parents, grandparents and friends all the new cheer fundamentals they have acquire during our week long summer camp. PCHS Cheer Booster Club will be selling apparel during camp. Bring a water bottle with your name on it. In case of inclement weather, camp will be held in the Pekin Memorial Arena Gymnastics and Dance Studio. See the Pekin Park Program Book for class descriptions, dates, times, and fees. Meet at the Memorial Arena Front Doors. Demonstration Day will be held at 10:00am in the Memorial Arena on Friday, August 13  in Mineral Springs Park. Bring cameras, video recorders family and friends!

JHC (Junior High Cheerleading) Prep
So you want to be a cheerleader? Junior High cheerleading tryouts will be here before you know it. Want to get some last minute practice and preparation time? Niki DiDinato, Pekin Park District elite tumbling coach  will be on hand to help you be prepared for the big try-outs. This will be an open gym style with time on tumbling, cheers, chants, jumps, and stunts. Register in the Recreation Office. Register early, space is limited. See the Pekin Park Program Book for dates, times, and fees. Meet in the Gymnastics Room.
