DragonLand Water Park Safety & Conduct Rules:

 

  1. Lifeguards are on duty to respond to emergencies. Supervision of children is solely the responsibility of parents/guardians.
  2. Children age 11 or under must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian age 16 years or older to be admitted into DragonLand. Guests under 12 years old will not be admitted without supervision.
  3. Running on the pool deck, diving, headfirst entry, flipping into the pool, or jumping from corner to corner is not permitted.
  4. For safety reasons, guest admission to the pool can be denied under the degree of contagious or infectious conditions, open wounds, excessive sun burns, or injuries that have not healed.
  5. Guest Bags and or Totes will not exceed 3ft x 1ft (36in x 12in). Bags larger than this will not be allowed in the facility, and coolers of any kind are not permitted.
  6. Children 7 years and younger should be supervised at all times and are the responsibility of their parent or guardian. Children age 3 or under must be within arm’s reach of an adult at all times. Those in supervisory positions should not use cell phones and other devices.
  7. There are no refunds for closures due to inclement weather.
  8. DragonLand is a smoke-free facility; smoking and vaping are prohibited within the facility. Those who wish to smoke can attain a re-entry stamp to do so outside the facility.
  9. Flotation Devices must have the Coast Guard Stamp of approval to be used. Only water-specific toys are permitted in the pool, excluding pool noodles and inflatable rafts.
  10. Abusive and Profane language is not allowed.
  11. Pekin Park District is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Coin-operated lockers are available for guest use.
  12. All swimmers must have appropriate swim attire. Cutoffs, athletic shorts, jeans, and t-shirts are not allowed and can be hazardous. Swim Diapers are required to be worn by children who are not toilet-trained.
  13. Any personal conduct deemed hazardous to other guests, the facility, or Lifeguard duties will be reprimanded and may result in expulsion from the facility.
  14. Weak and non-swimmers should use the shallow end of the pool; life vests are available free of charge.
  15. Children must be 42” tall to use the Tube or Body Slide. Dragon Slide is available to those under 48” tall.
  16. Glass or other materials, alcohol, and outside food and drink are not allowed inside the facility. Consumption of alcohol is fair for facility expulsion.
  17. Guests are encouraged to take a shower with soap and water before entering the pool.
  18. Portable music devices are allowed only if played through headphones.
  19. No loitering around the locker rooms, lobby area, or perimeter of the Water Park.
  20. A person who leaves the facility must first obtain a re-entry stamp if planning to return. Otherwise, they are subject to pay for readmission.
  21. Guests violating any facility rules – Written or Verbal – will be subject to ejection from the facility without refund.
  22. Rules are subject to change, and actions deemed unsafe to the health and well-being of other guests and staff members can be enforced to ensure the safety of all.
  23. No extended breath holding is allowed for safety purposes.
