Skate Park Pekin Park District's Skate Park is located across from Dragonland and Magic Dragon Golf and Games, at 100 Recreation Drive in Mineral Springs Park. The Skate Park is for freestyle bikes, skate boards and in-line roller blades.
Skate Park is generally open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and is dependent upon weather conditions. The skate park is closed from December 1 – mid March. Use during closed hours or when the gates are locked is prohibited.

The Pekin Park District is not responsible for loss, theft, or destruction of any personal property brought to the skate park, and reserves the right to close the skate park at any time for any reason.

- Outside phones are located at Dragonland Water Park
and Memorial Ice Arena.
- The skate park area is UNSUPERVISED and participants
and all other persons are voluntarily participating and
entering at their own risk.

Warning of Risk and Danger - skateboarding, in-line
skating, and freestyle biking are high risk activities with
inherent risks of serious injury.
- Skate Parks are prone to flying objects and bodies.
Know your abilities and skate or bike with-in them.
The Park District is not responsible for accidents. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! The Skate Park surface is extremely dangerous when wet. Do not use skate park if wet, or is ice is present. Gates will remain locked until area is free of rain and ice.
- All skate boarders and in-line skate users are required
to wear proper helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads
along with wrist guards. Wrist guards must contain a plastic /
rigid insert on the top and bottom.
- All freestyle bikers are required to wear proper helmets
and protective pads (including elbow pads and knee pads or
shin guards)
- The Pekin Park District reserves the right to qualify what "proper" safety gear is, including gear that is sized appropriate to the user. Elbow, knee, wrist and shin guards must have padding and
plastic / rigid caps / inserts.
- Children under the age of 10 years old must be accompanied
and supervised by a competent adult.
- All spectators and supervising adults must remain outside
of the fenced skate park area. Spectators must use the
bleacher side for viewing.
- Photography of any kind is prohibited from within the skate park.
- DO NOT sit on, or jump over the fence – use the entrance provided.
- Only skateboards, in-line skates, and freestyle bikes may
be used at the skate park. Freestyle bikes must have
smooth pegs and clawless pedals. All equipment must
be in good condition and free of dirt.
- No "Snaking" - wait your turn. No skating against traffic
on ramps or pipes.
- Offensive language, rowdy behavior, and / or reckless
behavior will not be tolerated. Shirts and shoes must
be worn at all times.
- Any modifications to facility, the bringing in of outside obstacles,
or the use of wax on the ramps are prohibited.
- Graffiti and destruction of public property is prohibited.
- Food and drink are prohibited outside of the Rest Area –
NO GLASS.
- No smoking is allowed, by anyone, at anytime.
- Possession, consumption, or being on the premises under
the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance is prohibited.
- No pets of any kind allowed.
- Violation to any of these rules will be subject to suspension, expulsion and/or criminal prosecution. Maximum fine is $750.00.
