AARP TAX AIDE AARP provides trained tax preparers to help you prepare your taxes. Bring last year’s tax return, proof of identification and anything needed for filing. Reserve a spot by calling the Miller Center at (309) 346-5210.

ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE
Donate your aluminum cans at the reception desk of the Miller Center. We'll recycle - proceeds will support Miller Center programs, activities and services.

CLASSES
AARP DRIVER SAFETY COURSE
This course includes the Rules of the Road and the skills and dangers of driving. Illinois state law requires insurance companies to give a premium reduction to all persons 55 and over who complete this accident prevention course. Registration limited to first 35 applicants. This driver safety program is offered to seniors at the Miller Center in cooperation with AARP.
- 12:30 - 4:30 p.m., McNaughton Lounge
Advanced fee $12 (AARP Members) and $14 (non-members). Call (309) 682-8521 to reserve your space.
Quilting with Joyce
Do you want to learn to quilt, draw, paint or try something new? Join our fun group.
- Fridays, 9:00 -11:00 a.m., Fee $5 session or $35 for 8 weeks.
BALLROOM DANCE CLASS
Learn the essentials of ballroom dance. Let's get on the dance floor and have some fun!
- Mondays, 8 week sessions, Room B, Fees resident couples $50, non-resident couples $60; resident singles $30, non-resident singles $35. Call the Miller Center at (309) 346-5210 for beginning session dates.
COMPUTER CLASSES

EXERCISE CLASS
Chair exercises. Come giggle and get fit. Sponsored by OSF Home Health Care Services.

LINE DANCE CLASS
Short movement sequences are taught and done to a variety of music. Previous experience is not necessary.

RULES OF THE ROAD COURSE
Secretary of State’s Office provides a free Rules of the Road course for seniors to prepare for their driver’s license renewal.

ROOM RENTALS
The Miller Center is an ideal location for wedding receptions, anniversaries, showers, banquets, or private meetings. We have two spacious areas that may be rented to accommodate up to 250 guests. The beautiful McNaughton Lounge is a wonderful location for small parties or gatherings for groups of 35 or less.

SUPPORT GROUPS
GRANDPARENTS RAISING GRANDCHILDREN
The Miller Center is sponsoring an educational support group to assist grandparents in dealing with parenting, legal, educational, financial, medical, and emotional issues. Registration is requested, but not required. Funded by Illinois Department on Aging.

TAZEWELL COUNTY SENIOR MEALS Too much trouble to cook for one? Tired of eating alone? Then join us at the Tazewell County Senior Meal Program located at the Miller Center in Pekin. The program serves a nutritious noon meal Monday thru Friday at 11:30 a.m. Congregate nutrition sites represent what a community is all about . . . socialization, volunteerism, creativity, and teamwork. Periodically, we provide entertainment and educational programs. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance and can be made by calling (309) 347-2801. If transportation is an issue, call the Miller Center at (309) 346-5210. We can provide transportation to and from the Center.
Our home delivered meal is more than just a plate of food for many of the homebound seniors in the community. It is often the key to independent living and is an essential part of their lives. These meals provide nutritional support as well as contact with the outside world through our drivers. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday. For more information on how to obtain home delivered meals for yourself or someone else, call (309) 346-5237.
The programs are sponsored by the Pekin Park District and Central Illinois Agency on Aging and operated on grant funds and donations. There is a suggested donation of $3 for anyone 60 or older. Anyone under 60 is required to pay $3.

TRANSPORTATION
Do you need a ride to or from the Miller Center for programs, activities, or the senior meal? Do you need a ride to your doctor’s or dentist’s office, grocery store, or other appointments? It’s our pleasure to serve you! Pekin United Way supports Miller Center Transportation. Simply call in advance for your reservation.
- 8:30 - 2:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Donations are appreciated but not required.
