Special Recreation
The Illinois River Valley Special Recreation Association (IRVSRA) is a cooperative extension of Pekin and Fon du lac Park Districts to provide recreational programs and leisure services for residents with developmental disabilities. Integrated and specialized programs are available for residents and non-residents with special needs. Register for all IRVSRA programs through the Recreation Office located in the Memorial Ice Arena, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. or call

Special Olympics: Special Olympics competition is an option available to our SRA sports participants. Those wishing to participate in Special Olympics must observe and abide by the rules and eligibility requirements of Special Olympics International and Special Olympics Illinois. Eligibility requirements are: Must be at least 8 years old. Must have a diagnosed developmental disability. A Special Olympics approved Medical Application is required prior to start of all programs.
