Shelters in Mineral Springs Park
The Royal Avenue Shelter and 4H Shelter may be reserved for your family picinic, outings and company picnics from May through September. Each shelter has electricy, water access, and outdoor grills. Picnic table seating accomodates 200 people in each shelter. If you don't need the entire shelter, you may reserve section(s) that each seat approximately 50 people.

The Royal Avenue Shelter is located adjacent to Ball Diamond #1 / the Lette's Diamond, on the corner of Royal Avenue and Coal Car Drive. Parking is across the street in the Magic Dragon Golf & Games lot. Handicapped restrooms are across Royal Avenue in the Maintenance Building and also behind the Press Box on Ball Diamond #1. The large Kiddie Korral playground and Popcorn Concession stand is close by.

The 4H Shelter is located just east of Red bud Drive, north of the Memorial Ice Arena and Parkside Athletics. The Pekin Park Trails runs immediately north of the shelter. Parking is to the north of the shelter, entering off Stadium Drive. Handicapped restrooms are to the south of the shelter.

Shelter reservations are made in the Recreation Reception Office located in the Memorial Ice Arena, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. We reserve for the current year and following year. You may reserve the sehlter from 8:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. and / or 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. Fees are as follows:
