Throughout the year, the Miller Center hosts a variety of special events for Pekin area seniors. Following the listed items are more detailed descriptions of each event. Check our calendar for dates and times. For more information, please call the Miller Center at (309) 346-5210.
Woodcarvers Show
BALLROOM DANCES
Enjoy the big band sound of the wonderful performers and dance the night away. All ages, singles and couples are welcome to attend. Refreshments are provided by Bickford Senior Living and Harbor Light Hospice. Preston Hanley supports ballroom dancing.

BLUEGRASS MUSIC
- Want a good foot-stomping time? Join us every other Wednesday for a jam session with great musicians.
- 10 a.m. - noon. Call 24 hours in advance to sign up for lunch at 11:30 a.m.
FALL DANCE PARTY
- Kenny Williams and the Country All Stars. Join us for good music and a great time.

CHICKEN POTLUCK BINGO
- Bring your favorite dish or dessert to share, your place setting and join us for a night of bingo and great food. Door prizes donated by Fondulac Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. Chicken provided by Hallmark House & Home Health Care Plus.
- Quarterly: 3rd Friday in January, April, July and October, Potluck at 5:15 p.m., Bingo at 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., Fee $1 to play and $.25 per card.

CRAFT / BAKE / RUMMAGE SALE
The volunteer craft ladies sponsor this event. All proceeds support the Miller Center Transportation fund.

DARTBALL TOURNAMENT
Annual Dartball Tournament open to the public. Men's, women's and mixed teams compete by playing darts on a special board with baseball adaptations. Join us for lunch, door prizes, 50/50. Proceeds support Miller Center Transportation.

FLOWER BINGO
Bring your friends and join us for flower bingo. Your favorite flowers' and plants' names are what we’ll be calling. Prizes, snacks and fun. Hosted by the Garden Club.

HEART OF ILLINOIS SENIOR OLYMPICS
Heart of Illinois Senior Olympics is open to contestants age 50 and older and at every skill level. In addition to athletic and fine arts, general competitions such as a spelling bee and bingo are offered. Stop by the Miller Center for more information or to pick up a brochure.

NEW YEAR’S EVE DANCE
Ring in the New Year at the Miller Center. Dancing, hor d'oeuvres, non-alcoholic champagne and party favors. Sponsored by Liberty Village of Pekin, Pekin Manor and Pekin Estates.
- December 31, 8:30 p.m. -12:30 a.m., Fee $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

Need a Spot for a Meeting ro Party? We Can Help You!
The Miller Center is an ideal location for wedding receptions, anniversaries, showers, banquets, or private meetings. We have two spacious areas that may be rented to accommodate up to 250 guests. The beautiful McNaughton Lounge is a wonderful location for small parties or gatherings and seats 35 comfortably.

SPELLING BEE
We are encouraging older adults to bring out their inner "smarty-pants". Sponsored by The Association of Illinois Senior Centers, Illinois Department on Aging, News & Views and Pekin Park District’s Miller Senior Center.

SPRING EXTRAVAGANZA
A variety of agencies will be here to provide "Hands On" demos and screenings. This event sponsored by Hospice Compassus, Hallmark House Nursing Center and Miller Center. A Bake Sale will be held by Miller Melodies. Door Prizes every hour!
